Took Henry & Ivy to Farmer Parr’s recently as they’re gearing up for the Summer Season. Although most of the animals were still indoors, Henry really enjoyed the “up close & personal” session in the big barn. The staff brought round lambs, chickens, guinea pigs, a snake(!), miniature goats & miniature ponies to name but a few & every child got to pet them. Henry’s favourite was feeding the lambs & bouncing on the bouncy castle, see below:

Here are some lovely pictures of the Italian Gardens which we took on a recent trip to the park. The Art Deco Cafe is well worth a visit, too!

Been to the Blackpool Tower Circus this afternoon with Lily & Henry, our grandchildren; they were absolutely engrossed. I have to say that it was a BRILLIANT family show. All of the acts were daring & compulsive watching … tight rope walkers, tumbling act, strong man, “hamster wheel” act & motorbike act &, as usual, Mooky & Mr Boo provided lighter moments & the water finale was amazing. Don’t hesitate to go & see it!

Been over to the Sandcastle today for a guided tour & I have to say I was very impressed. It’s hot, clean & the rides look just amazing! If I weren’t so long in the tooth I’d even give it a try myself! Seriously, though, it’s a great family day out with rides for the youngest & most dare-davil of you out there. And for mums who may not want to get wet there’s now a spa, too, with sauna, steam & ice rooms … that’s me sorted then!
