Blackpool is the fun capital of England, attracting over 6 million people each year & there really IS something for everyone to do!

Just a short stroll from the Wescoe Guesthouse is Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Nickelodeon Land; spend a day here for a fun-filled day of white knuckle rides & a choice of top shows. Why not try Icon, the UK’s first double-launch roller coaster. Also within easy strolling distance of the Wescoe is the Sandcastle Indoor Waterpark for a day of water-based fun in tropical temperatures; try the Hyperzone slides which start on the rooftop if you dare!

Just a short walk away (or a ride on a heritage tram) is Blackpool Tower. It houses 5 amazing attractions, the Tower Dungeons for some funny- scary fun, Jungle Jim’s playzone, the world-famous ballroom (as seen on Strictly Come Dancing), the Blackpool Tower Circus with it’s cast of international performers and, of course, the stars of the show, Mooky the clown & Mr Boo and finally, the Blackpool Tower-top 4-D adventure where you can ride a lift to the top of the tower & walk on the glass floor & enjoy splendid views across the Irish Sea.

Madame Tussauds Waxworks is the place to get your photograph taken with your favourite celebs and for those animal lovers amongst you, Blackpool has a wonderful zoo as well as the Sealife Centre, where twin black-tipped sharks have just been born.

Shop till you drop at Blackpool’s Houndshill Centre where it never rains or take a peep behind the scenes at Blackpool Winter Gardens with a guided tour which showcases some fantastic architectural gems, take in a show at the Grand Theatre or the Opera House or North Pier or spend a fantastic evening at the Viva Show Bar or Funny Girls for a some of the best entertainment in Blackpool.

FREE events such as Blackpool airshow (August), the World Fireworks Championships (Fridays in September), Ride the Lights & Blackpool Illuminations (September to November) provide plenty of additional reasons to come to Blackpool. Try a tour in one of the illuminated trams.

Top shows such as, “Blood Brothers”, “Joseph”, “The Rocky Horror Show”, “Kinky Boots”and “Calendar Girls”amongst others are coming to the Opera House in 2019. Add to that star studded performances by Jane McDonald, Michael Ball, Jason Manford, Alfie Boe, Russell Watson & Aled Jones amongst others and a calendar full of events such as Magicians, Punk Rebellion, World Ballroom Dance Championships, World Matchplay Darts, Veterans’ etc and Blackpool really DOES have it all

There are donkeys on a vast expanse of blue-flag beach, ice cream, fish and chips, amusement arcades, souvenir shops and not one but THREE piers for traditional seaside fun.

Indeed, there really IS something for everyone in Blackpool!
